Cole

(Ireland)

Origen: Normando. The Cole family has descended through the lines of the ancient Anglo-Saxon culture. Their name comes from having lived in Cornwall. Their name, however, is derived from the Old English word coll, which means hill, and indicates that the original bearer lived near such a land form. First found in Cornwall where they were seated from very ancient times, some say well before the Norman Conquest and the arrival of Duke William at Hastings in 1066 A.D.

Variantes: Cole, Coles, Coal, Coale, Coalas y otros.

Motto: Worship God, obey the King.
