McCready

The name McCready in Ireland is derived from the native Gaelic MacRiada Sept that was located in County Donegal in the North-West of the country, where the majority of descendants can still be found. Mac Conready is a variant particularly used in County Derry where MacAready is another variant.

Origen: Escocés, Irlandés. The chronicles of the McCready family reach back into Scottish history to an ancient tribe known as the Picts. The ancestors of the McCready family lived in Ayrshire. First found in Ayrshire where they were seated from early times and their first records appeared on the early census rolls taken by the early Kings of Britain to determine the rate of taxation of their subjects.
