Origen: Irlandés. The names McGing and McGinn in Ireland are derived from the native Gaelic Mag Fhinn sept that was located in County Tyrone. The name is taken from a Gaelic word that translates as 'fair'. There are a number of variants of this name including Maginn in Counties Antrim and Down. First found in county Sligo, where they held a family seat from ancient times.
