Origen: Irlandés. Haughey originally appeared in Gaelic as O hEachaidhin. First found in Counties Donegal and Armagh in Northern Ireland where they held a family seat from ancient times. The name Haughey in Ireland is derived from the native Gaelic O'hEachaidh Sept that was located in Counties Donegal and Armagh, where the majority of descendants can still today be found. It was also anglicized as both Haffey, and MacGaughey as well as O'Haughey.
