Lovell / Loveall

The names Lovell and Loveall in Ireland have been on record in Clonmel since 1310 and have since been associated with County Kilkenny and surrounding counties. These names are taken from the Anglo-French word 'lovel' or 'lupellus', meaning 'wolf cub'.
